Only an estimated one to two percent of the earth’s population can now say they boast natural red locks. Ginger, red blond, strawberry blond, orange red, auburn, copper blond, burnt orange even "Titian" - redheads may come in a variety of shades but their feet typically come in just one - white. This scarcity may have contributed to a certain fetishistic credibility for redheads or "gingers" as they are sometimes called.

Keeping that in mind, foot men are never ones to shy away from "sub-fetishizing" anything where feet are involved. For the foot man, it is other attributes of the redheaded male that contribute to why some of us love copper tops - those white feet. Even I have a "redheaded" experience that proved prophetic about my future as the lifelong foot fetishist I have become.

My older cousin was a redheaded, freckled-face teenage jock with what I later would realize was a hot, tight, muscular body. A BMOC who played basketball, football, rode horses, was popular and dated whatever girls he wanted. He mostly wore high-tops and at other times cowboy boots. I believe he unwittingly may have been reponsible, at least in part for my foot fetish.

I idolized him and spent as much time with him during summer vacation as possible. He was quite cool about it and never acted begrudged to have a "kid" around. After coming back to his house after the day, he'd invariably take off his sneakers or even better, boots and sweaty, wet socks claiming his feet were hot. Often he would put his (what I say now were) absolutely perfect, white pair up right in front of me as I sat on the floor to watch TV. He would then absentmindedly flex his toes and rub his feet together causing there sweaty smell to waft my way. Frequently I could smell the odor from his shoes or boots if I was near them. I remember his smell as being strong - now I know it was intoxicating.

Even now reminiscening about his feet causes a reaction in me. FFE readers will understand where I am coming from by sharing this story. I now know it was my cousin and his feet who helped, in part, to define (at an early age) my desire for the feet of other males even down to the shape, toe conformation and smell. In my adult life, I've dated redheaded guys and typically they've all had very appealing feet.

For some men, running their fingers through fiery red locks or stroking a soft, ginger-colored brush cut,touching rippling porcelain flesh (sometimes decorated with a smattering of freckles),beholding a golden-red bush south of the navel(sometimes known as fire crotch), or having a pair of glacial blue or emerald green (and on rare occassion, dark brown) eyes gaze back at you with wild carnal abandon can be among moments in life that some may truly be called rapturous. But for the foot lover rubbing, touching, licking, sucking, smelling or tickling a pink-tinged pale, almost alabaster foot is truly a piece of heaven.

What is it with redheads and why do their feet seem so especially appealing? Perhaps we should look at this breed in a broader sense. First, they’re thought to be the wild cards that break from the pack. Down through the ages they’ve been cast as hot-tempered, non-conformists, rogues, heroes or ruffians.

In the Middle Ages, red hair was supposedly a dead giveaway for all manner of sexual debauchery, sending many an innocent to their execution. However, some sources state that in the Muslim world, the hair color was prized above any other hue, deemed nearest to the Divine. Some argue that it is the foot of the redhead that is actually divine!

One stereotype that seems to have endured longer than any other, is the notion that redheads are erotic libertines - libidinous, sexually aggressive and just plain hot as hell. Some foot lover's who favor redheaded men are inclined to agree with this stereotype. They state that they're experience with readheads often proves highly satisfactory when it comes to foot action.

One footlover surmises that often because of their pale skin, redheads may have historically not revealed their feet as openly as men of other complexions as in wearing sandals, etc. because of the risk of sunburn. He feels, if this so, that because their feet have been more "cloistered", they are by virtue more sensitive to touch and tongue. He should know. He's a "red-chaser" in addition to being a "foot freak" and says he's never been turned down for worship or footjobs by a redhead and states they have been more than willing to return the favor showing complete arousal the whole time. For him dating a redhead is almost an absolute assurance he'll get foot action typically with a pair of feet he's generally guaranteed to find a "turn on".

There may be a grain of truth in the stereotypes, footlust not withstanding. Richie Cunningham may have seemed a model citizen, but we like brawny Will Clark, new-generation hottie Blu Kennedy or studs Mark Kroner and Rusty Samuels—all "gingers" of note who have acquired a following in the gay porn industry?

Hollywood in general, may only be able to count its redheaded hotties hypo-thetically on two hands, but there are candidates waiting in the wings. Life’s Welsh-born Damien Lewis is suave and hot-footed. Zack Ward with his high cheekbones and tight body has been lurking on the cusp for some years now.

Other notables include VH1/The Soup’s auburn-haired Joel McHale, Michael C. Hall of Showtime's Dexter, actors Dash Mihok, Michael Rappaport and Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme not to mention the UK's Prince Harry. Despite what some may think of their looks, odds are that even Carrot Top, Danny Bonaduce and David Caruso have well-shaped, good-looking feet. Observation dictates that redheads seem almost guaranteeably hot-footed.

Among "fetishers", the foot of the redhead can be a special treat or object of desire. Seasoned footmen, many of whom literally have spent a lifetime analyzing various types of male feet, have observed that often red-headed, pale-skinned males possess a certain foot conformation (shape, toe type and length, nail type and shape, coloration, bone structure, length, etc.) which seems specific to them. Others argue that the foot conformation is the same as males of other hues and that it is the pale skin that makes it look unique. Additionally, it is claimed that redheads possess what the french call "le fauve" - pheromonally aromatic body odor, including the feet, that those who like man-smells find intoxicating and irresistible.

For admirers of redheaded men and thus their feet, now may be the time to worry. A much-publicized UK-based study predicted the red hair gene is in retrograde and likely to be driven into extinction within the next hundred years. Red hair appears in people with two copies of a recessive gene on chromosome 16 which causes a change in the MC1R protein. It is associated with fair skin color, freckles, and sensitivity to ultraviolet light. It is found in the skin of redheads instead of the melanin found in darker complected people. It seems the recessive trait may have become diluted over time due to global population shifts and the dominance of the brunet gene in the mates of red carriers. Naturally, the science is still out, with some giving the idea credence and others dismissing it.

Our questions are; (1) does this same genetic composition make for the exquisite foot conformation that so many swear is unique to the redhead and (2) is it responsible for a pheromonal
/chemical make-up that many believe is specific to redheads causing their feet (and other sweaty parts - crotches and armpits) to have the particularly erotically appealing smell/odor mentioned before?

Any way you slice it, copper tops and their white feet are too precious to chance that they might join the ranks of the extinct.
